Died, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at home.
He was the spouse of the late Leona Grace Gosnell.
Mr. Gosnell was born May 16, 1921 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Ernest W. Gosnell and Birdie I (Wagner) Gosnell.
Mr. Gosnell worked for many years as a Millwright for the American Can Company in Baltimore before opening his own company Rogoco Engineering. He was a certified machinist and gunsmith. Life Member of VFW He was a founder of the Mineral Hill Sportsman’s Club, an avid hunter, had his pilot's license and made radio controlled airplanes and boats. Mr. Gosnell is a Veteran of the US Army Air Corps where he was a top turret gunner/flight engineer during WWII. In that time he earned the ETO medal with 4 Battle Stars, a Unit Citation, Combat Action Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal from the Army and the Air Force.
Surviving him are Daughter and Son-in-law Lynn and Charles Ellenberger of Sykesville, Son and daughter-in-law Robert and Rose Gosnell of Sykesville. Grandchildren; Kelli Crisfulli, Shelly Cochran, Mark Gosnell, Great-grandchildren Madison and Ethan Crisfulli. Pre-ceded in death by Son Roland E. Gosnell, a brother and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2015 10-11 AM when Memorial Services will take place at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784(Beside S. Carroll High). Inurnment to follow in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Woodbine, MD.
