Ronald “Ron” Charles Gwyn,68 of Sykesville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday April 3, 2011. Beloved husband of Janet Anne House Gwyn for 48 years. Mr. Gwyn was born July 18, 1942 in West Brownsville, PA the son of the late Leslie R. Gwyn and late Dorothy E. Baker Gwyn. Mr. Gwyn Retired as Director from Healthcare Finance Administration in Woodlawn MD in 2001. Served as a Volunteer for MD State Park Service. A member of Winfield Bible Chapel, Coached basketball in Mt. Airy and Rockville, MD Graduated from Red Stone High School in Republic, PA in 1960. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing especially at his cabin in West Virginia and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Devoted father of Kevin and wife Terri Gwyn of Sykesville, Kimberly Dawn Gwyn of Sykesville, and Keith Randall Gwyn of Fort Collins CO. Loving brother of Les Donald Gwyn of Sommerset, PA, the late infant Barry Lee Gwyn. Dear grandfather of Jessica, Samantha and Scott Gwyn, Kayla and Brady Whirley. Friends may call Wednesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, April 7, 2011 11 AM with viewing 1 hour prior at Winfield Bible Chapel, 5407 Woodbine Rd. Woodbine, MD 21797 with the Pastor Kim Gee officiating.
