Beloved husband of Darlene Thomas (nee Garett) for 37 years, died after a long battle with cancer. Born in Athens, Ohio April 2, 1940 to Kenneth and Beulah (Maness) Thomas, he is survived by a sister, Sande Sycks and husband Buddy, of Ohio, and brother, Charles Kevin Thomas of Texas, his mother-in-law Bettie Garrett of Hanover, PA and brother-in-law Mark Garrett and Ann of Dover Delaware. He served in the Air Force and went to Viet Nam with Special Forces unit as an advisor in the early 60’s.
He was a Plant Manager in manufacturing in California before he started his own business refurbishing telephones for the phone company, General Telephone. After relocating in Maryland, he was a Plant Manager for Allied Signal in Towson before it closed and later worked at LeHigh Cement in Union Bridge until he retired.
He was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church since 1985. His favorite pastime was golf and was so proud to have two hole-in-one trophies. He appreciated all of the love and caring concern from his family and friends but as per his request did not want a memorial service.
