Ruth A (nee Burrows) Connelly, 89 of Mt. Airy, passed Monday, September 26, 2016 at Carroll Hospital Center.
She was born August 15, 1927, in Hunting Hill, MD the daughter of the late Carleton Fletcher Burrows, Sr. & the late Mary Strailey (nee Roberts) Burrows.
Beloved wife of the late Vernon Spencer Connelly.
Remembered for working at Foodland in Mt. Airy as a cashier and at Safeway Lake Forest. Ruth was a member of Mt. Olive UM Church and enjoyed genealogy, flowers & gardening and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her daughter Debra & husband Ray Herche of Mt. Airy and son Glenn A. Connelly of Mt. Airy. Also survived by her sister Alice Calloway of Rockville and 3 grandchildren Bryan & wife Kim Herche, Zachary Connelly, and Matthew Connelly.
Preceded in death by her sister Doris Mills and brother Carleton Fletcher Burrows, Jr.
Memorial Services Saturday, October 15, 2016 10 Am at Mt. Olive UMC Hall, 2927 Gillis Falls Rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771 with Inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.
