Ruth Hickey

Ruth M. Hickey (nee Carman), age 85, of Sykesville, formerly of Anne Arundel County, died Sunday July 5, 2009 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. She was born August 14, 1923 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late William S. Carman and the late Lillian A. Carman (nee Newton). She was a Supervisor Data Processing Department for the MVA. She enjoyed bowling and was a Top Bowler. She was the mother of- Linda Tieman, Skip McDonald, Joanne Corkill, and Bill Hickey, Jr. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Paul Andrews of Faith Family Church in Sykesville officiating. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery. Friends may call the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
