Preceded in death by her late husband Leo Edward Sands, deceased.
She was born May 20, 1925, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Edward S. Wilson and the late Hilda Wilson (nee Adrian).
Devoted mother of Leo E. Sands, Jr. and wife Kathy of Baltimore, John, and former wife Beth Sands of Bethesda (deceased), Richard and former wife Cynthia Sands of Hagerstown, Nancy and husband John Fout of St. Augustine, FL, and the late Steven Sands. Grandmother of Sierra, Justin, Lisa, Matthew, Cara, and Rachel. Great Grandmother of Justin Jr., William Taylor Fout, and Adela Sarine; great grandma to Fox Crawley-Sands.
Preceded in death by her maternal Grandparents Frederick Adrian and Christine Adrian (nee Leigh), Her husbands; parents John Edward Sands and Mary Frances Sands (nee Spitzer), paternal grandparents John Edward Sands and Mary E. Sands (nee O’Day), and maternal grandparents John James Spitzer and Katie Barry.
Mrs. Sands was as draftsmen in her earlier days, then a housewife and mother to her five children. She enjoyed art, painting, ceramics, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery 2724 Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784
