Ruth V. Schleicher (nee Demmitt), 92 of Catonsville, MD passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia, MD.
She was the wife of the late Walter C. Schleicher, Sr.
She was born February 23, 1930, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Harry E. Demmitt and the late Delma Lee Demmitt (nee Parker).
Ruth was an Elementary school teacher for 35 years in Baltimore County Public Schools. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Devoted mother of Walter Schleicher, Jr & wife Denise, daughter Debbie Becraft & husband Butch and son in law Jerry Hokanson & the late Phyllis Hokanson. Loving grandmother of Laura Histon & husband Matt, Brad Schleicher & wife Caitlin, Brett Schleicher & wife Kellee, Brian Becraft & wife Everly, Steven Becraft & Erin Ruskin, Nicole Hokanson & Gabriel Torres, and Shawn Hokanson. Devoted great-grandmother of Mikaela, Madelyn, Isla, Marci, Aurora and Gabe Jr.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Interment private.
