Ruth Emily Shaw (nee Condon), age 88, of Taylorsville, MD., died Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 12, 1929 in Taylorsville, MD the daughter of the late Burgess Upton Condon and the late Hilda N. Pickett
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Shaw.
She was a Secretary in the Carroll County Public School System for 33 years and at South Carroll High school for 28 years. Member of the Winfield Ladies Vol. Fire Co. Auxiliary, St. James U.M. Church and The Red Hatters. She was an avid traveler that traveled to the 48 continental states. She loved to photograph her children and grandchildren. Ruth was famous for her fudge and a collection of salt and pepper shakers from all over the country. She will be missed for her energy. She was proud of her family.
She was the mother of Randall B. Shaw and wife Maria, Ronald Upton Shaw and wife Judith, and the late Robert C. Shaw.
Grandmother of Daniel, Alicia, Hunter, Lisa, Robbie, Madeleine, Brooke, Ryan, Kelsey, and Rebecca, great-grandmother of Gabrielle, Harrison, and Daniel, Jr.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA.,1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM; Winfield Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary Memorial service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. James U.M. Church, 3000 Marston Road, Dennings, MD 21157 Interment St. James. U.M. Church Cemetery.
