Mrs. Sherri Lee Botsford, 58, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away suddenly on November 1, 2023 at Sinai Hospital where she was surrounded by family & friends. She was the loving wife of Fred Botsford, her husband of 23 wonderful years.
Sherri was born January 3, 1965, in Silver Spring, Maryland, the daughter of Warren and Loretta Dustin. She graduated from Wheaton High School and The Maryland Drafting Institute.
Sherri and Fred became close and then married while they both worked at Rosetta Landscape, where she worked for many years.
Sherri treasured the 16 years she worked at Greenebaum Enterprises (Greenebaum & Rose) because it was here that she developed some of her deepest friendships.
Most recently, Sherri worked at T Rowe Price and was enjoying the new job demands and her developing friendships.
Sherri loved life.
She loved music & dancing. ‘Fancy Like’ was a favorite song that she sang and danced to with her granddaughter Briana. Of course, Sherri got up and danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly in Nashville. Sherri and Fred shared a love of live music and some of the traveling they did was a result of many out-of-town concerts they enjoyed.
Sherri loved getting together with friends and family and was the organizer of many get togethers. The annual Botsford Halloween Party was a testament to her love of gathering friends together and the memorable, crazy and good times that followed.
The beach had a special meaning to Sherri and many vacations were spent on different beaches. Her perfect day at the beach could be spent sunbathing, snorkeling with the beautiful fish, reading under the shade of a palm tree or watching the sunset. There were no bad days at the beach.
She played in both 8-ball and 9-ball pool leagues for over 20 years. She was a good pool player, but she also enjoyed the socializing and comradery of the leagues. She met many of her favorite friends in these leagues.
She loved fashion and especially loved her boot collection.
She was known for her big heart and adventurous spirit.
Sherri was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother (Mimi). In addition to her husband & parents, Sherri is survived by her daughter, Madelynn Evans; and 2 granddaughters, Briana and Nova. She is also survived by sisters Carol Markham and Britt Brengle; brother Michael Dustin and wife Jessica; nieces Krista Barber and Jessica Brengle; nephews Mark and Christopher Brengle; and her beloved doggy Roscoe.
