Shirley Holmes

Shirley Mae (Riley) Holmes, 75 of Sykesville, MD, died Monday December 13, 2010 at Future Care of Cherrywood. She was the spouse of the late George W. Holmes, Sr. She was born February 13, 1935 in Oella, MD the daughter of the late French Lee and Grace Lee (Grady) Riley. Mrs. Holmes was a Homemaker but in later years was an aide at Sykesville Middle School. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and reading. Surviving are Sons and Daughter-in-law George W. and Pamela Holmes of Reisterstown, Mark Holmes of Phildelphia, PA Grandchildren; Douglas, Brittany and Mark Holmes, Brandy Johnson. Great-grandchildren Hayden, Calyn, Griffen and Trinity. Brothers Robert Riley of FL and Edward Riley of Frederick, MD. Funeral Services will be held Friday December 17, 2010 10AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment will take place Monday December 20, 2010 Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery Owings Mills, MD The family will receive friends on Thursday December 16, 2010 6 to 8 PM.
