Shirley Virginia Weetenkamp (nee Swartz), age 87, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her home.
She was born December 5, 1925 in Baltimore, MD; the daughter of the late Harry B. Swartz, Jr. and the late Lillian M. Swartz (nee Servary)
She was the wife of the late John H. Weetenkamp, Jr.
She was a Homemaker. She was an avid Baltimore Orioles Fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the mother of John H. Weetenkamp, III. of Catonsville, MD; Sharon W. Swartz of Berlin, MD; Dawn W. Steigerwald of Laurel Fork, VA; Lisa Weetenkamp- Hurley of Mt. Airy, MD and Amy C. Payne of Mt. Airy, MD.
Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster with Msgr. James P. Farmer and Fr. Michael Roach officiating.
