Sterling Harrison

Sterling E. Harrison, age 87 of Washington , DC died Friday March 31, 2006 at the U.S. Soldier and Airmen’s Home in Washington , DC . He was born on April 7, 1918 in Mt. Airy , MD the son of the late Erbin Harrison and the late Effie Ridgley Harrison. He was the husband of Mabel E. Harrison (nee Barnhart). He served in the U.S. Army for twenty years from January 1941 thru February 1961. He was a former member of Lisbon United Methodist Church . He is survived by sons Michael E. Harrison of Mt. Airy and Kevin E. Harrison of Glen Burnie . Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grand-daughter, sister Jane Willing of Florida, and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Service will be held Thursday April 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. at 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School). Interment will be in the Mt. Olive U.M. Church Cemetery , Mt. Airy , MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
