Thelma Browning Turner, age 77, of Sykesville, died Monday April 18, 2005 at home.

She was born March 26, 1928 in Marmet , West Virginia the daughter of the late Golden Browning and the late Berta Jarell Browning.

She retired as a secretary for the Chessie System 40 years. She was the President of Railway Women Club. She sang in Sweet Adelines, she was a Sunday School Teacher, she was a Choir Director. She was a member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg.

She was the mother of Paul D. Moore and Wife Christine N. Moore of Finksburg, and David A. Moore and wife Sharon K. Moore of Sykesville , MD.

She was the sister of Ira Browning of Ft. Meyers , Florida and Ivan Browning of Cincinnati , Ohio and Virginia Taylor of South Carolina .

She was the grandmother of Allison, Ashley, Heather and the late Ryan.

Great grandmother of Austin, Logan and Elizabeth.

Gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. At Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School ).

Memorial Service will be Saturday April 23, 2005 at 11:30 AM at Elders Baptist Church , 1216 Liberty Road , Sykesville, with the Rev. Jim Edmonson of Elders Baptist Church officiating.

Private Interment

Memorial Contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1850 York Road , Ste. D, Timonium , MD 21093 .
