On July 2, 2024, Theodore P. "Ted" Geisler, 86, of Granite, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 5, 1938 in Connellsville, PA, Ted was the son of the late Edward William Geisler and the late Dorothy Geisler (nee Walther). He was predeceased by his brothers, William Edward Geisler and SFC John Lawrence Geisler, Sr. His brother, SFC John Geisler, was aboard the Flying Tiger Flight 739, en route to Siagon, that went missing on March 16, 1962 over the Pacific Ocean, never to be found.

Ted was married to the late Mary Jane Geisler, nee Mathena, who passed away in 1990, and whom he missed dearly every day. He is survived by daughters, Dana Snyder (husband, John) of Woodstock, Maryland and Jill Gelato (husband, Tom) of Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Ted was joyfully "Poppy" to his adored grandchildren, Dustin Snyder, Dylan Snyder (wife, Hannah), Devin Snyder, Jack Gelato, and Kasey Gelato. He was known as "Big Poppy" to his precious great granddaughter, Poppy Rae Snyder.

Ted worked for Giant Food in the Seafood Department for 32 years. As a man of faith, Ted was an active member of Granite Presbyterian Church where he served on the Session, Treasurer, and was the groundskeeper for many years. He loved his church family.

Ted was kind, caring, and generous. He had an enormous heart and teased with a mischievous smile. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences. His canine companions were dear to him and he loved and cared for them as his children.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them-and if you knew him, you knew it.

Memorial Service will be held at Granite Presbyterian Church, 10637 Old Court Road, Granite, Maryland, 21163 on July 20, 2024 @ 11:00 am. A private interment for his family will be held at the Granite Cemetery immediately following services.
