Thomas S. Fisher, 89 of Woodbine
Died April 13, 2017 at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Mr. Fisher was twice widowed by wives Ruth (Harrison) Fisher and Vida (Watkins) Fisher.
He was born February 17, 1928 in Akron, OH the son of the late William and late Evelyn (Robertson) Fisher. Before retirement he was a plumber with the National Bureau of Standards. He was a Life Member of American Legion Gold Star Post #191 and VFW Post 10076 Mt. Airy. Veteran of the US NAVY serving during WWII 1946 to 1947. He was also a member of Morgan Chapel UMC.
Dear brother of William (Theresa)Fisher of Cooksville, MD and Joe (Nancy)Fisher of Mt. Airy.
Uncle of Linda Fisher, Diane(Hobie)Howell, Nancy(Greg)Bell, Renee(Larry)Smith, Vickie (Sam) McClure, Barbara(Bud)Bradley and Bethany Fisher. Step-father to Wayne(Debby)Brown of Roxbury, PA, Allen(Claudette)Brown of Mt. Airy, MD, Kenny(Susan)Brown of Largo, FL. Step-grandfather of A.G Brown, Erin Brown, PC Brown and Debbie(Gary) Bond. Also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews and step-great-grandchildren and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to PM with an American Legion Service at 7:30 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd, Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 11 AM. Interment to follow at Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Woodbine. Donations may be made to Mt.
