Vicki (aka Vickie) Yvonne Hill (née Duvall), 68 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away at home on March 20, 2024, due to illness. Her family and special friends of her daughters were present at the time.
Vickie was born at home in Mt Airy, MD on September 22, 1955, to the late Carl Addison (Junior) Duvall and Edith Naomi Williams of Virginia.
She was raised by her late Grandmother, Elsie May Duvall (née Burdette), and grew up with her brother Charles Ronald (Ronnie) Duvall Sr and a cousin who was more like a sister, the late Patsy Perry (née Naill).
She loved to tell stories of the wild things she did all through her life especially growing up and her time at South Carroll High School which she graduated from in 1973.
She met the love of her life, James (Jim) T. Hill Jr in 1985. They got together in June of 1985 and were married on September 22, 1994. They were together for almost 32 years and 7 months before he passed on January 15, 2018.
Vickie loved spending time with her family and friends. Besides the many lunch dates with her daughter and sometimes grandkids, she enjoyed playing weekly bingo at Gamber Fire Dept and some other places with her best friend, Charlotte Eaton, as well as special fundraiser bingos with her daughter and her daughter's friends who became her friends too and she enjoyed getting to spend time with!
She loved spoiling children and spoiled many through the years at places she worked and Gamber bingo.
Vickie is predeceased by many friends and family members including two unborn children.
In addition to her Mom Edith and brother Ronnie, she is survived by her son, Charles (Charlie) Rachel, daughter, Patsy (Lynn) Bostic, son-in-law Joe Bostic, and beloved Grandchildren Kevin, Natalie, and Nick Bostic, nephews Charles Duvall Jr, and Ryan Duvall, Great niece Kaylee Duvall, aunts, uncles, and cousins. From her late husband's side, her sister-in-law Patricia (Pat) Byrns and her husband Vernon Byrns, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She always considered her daughter's friends Erin Waterman, Rachel (Blevins) Klein, and Brenda Riley her daughters and had many fond memories with them. She enjoyed being Memaw to her oldest grandson's best friend Lynzie Smith and enjoyed having her around and the laughter from her and Kevin was music to her ears even late at night.
