Passed peacefully on January 12, 2016 at the home of her daughter Carol (Shifflett) Strevig of Westminster.
Mrs. Shifflett is predeceased by her husband Thomas Shifflett.
Violet J. (Naill) Shifflett was born January 23, 1922 in New Windsor, Maryland the daughter of the late Ella (Glass) Naill and late Edward E. Naill. Mrs. Shifflett worked as a seamstress at English American and Westminster Knit. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, quilting, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by children Carol (Shifflett) Strevig, Patricia A. and spouse Alan Magruder , and son Keith Shifflett all of Westminster. She was the Loving Grandmother of Kimmy (Strevig) Hawkesworth, Timmy Strevig, Jeffrey Lare, Brian Lare and Jenny (Lare) Mellor. Also survived by her siblings Douglas Naill of Highland, MD and Rosa Lee McIntyre of New Windsor and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by son-in-law Junior Strevig and 9 siblings. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 6 to 8 PM and Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 10 AM until time of Services 11:00AM all at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, PA, 1212 W.
