Virginia Kiessling

Virginia Claire “Ginny” Kiessling (nee Carpenter), age 60, of Woodbine, died Monday, October 08, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. She was born January 30, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Henry G. Carpenter and the late Doris C. Carpenter (nee Koontz). She was the wife of Lee C. Kiessling of 35 years. She was a Kindergarten teacher for Liberty Christian School for almost 30 years. She was instrumental in helping to start the school and was the school’s first administrator and served in her church Freedom Church in the South Carroll Community. She loved her family and enjoyed the arts, especially music and literature, and the beach. She was active in the MD Emmaus Community. Ginny loved to mentor young women and assist with marriage ministry. She was the mother of Erin and Stephen Kerst of Westminster and Lauren and Justin Pauls of Harrisburg, PA. She was the sister of Gordon Carpenter and wife Cathy of York, PA. Ginny was the proud Grandmother of Collin and Cameron Kerst. Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School). Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 11303 Liberty Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, with Rev Tim Houston, Pastor Doug Johnson and Rev.
