Walter Thomas Haines 93 of Westminster, MD, died Thursday June 17, 2010 at the Dove House. He was the spouse of over 60 years to the late Eva G. (Magin) Haines. He was born April 4, 1917 in New Windsor, MD. The son of the late Clarence Moses and late Myrle Barnes Haines. He was retired from 3M Corp. Operated a Small Machine Shop at his home where he sharpened various tools. Served in the US Army during WWII , Loved to dance, was an Avid Gardner, A member of the Baseball Old Timers Assoc., A Life Member of Westminster VFW Post #467. Mr. Haines was the Dear Brother of Margaret L. Bair of Westminster, Dorothy L. Rhoten of Manchester, the late James D., William C., Gordon E. and Ralph E. Haines, Ruth V. Fleming, Jane Owings, Ella M. Barnes, Anna E. Crawmer, Mary E. Stack and Catherine L. Shipley. Also Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 10 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 Interment will be in Taylorsville UMC Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday June 20, 2010 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
