Wanda Hillsinger

Wanda Ann Hillsinger (nee Brown), 78, of Winfield, MD passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 with her children by her side; after a 23-year battle with cancer.
She was the beloved wife of 51 years to the late Gilbert T. Hillsinger.
Mrs. Hillsinger was born August 23, 1944, in Winfield, MD, the daughter of the late Albert E. Brown and the late Anna L. Brown (nee Ruch).
She was a 1962 Graduate of Sykesville High School. Wanda worked for Hamilton Associates/Telemecanique of Finksburg, MD as an electrical assembler, and then went and worked as a Dietary aide for The Golden Age Guest Home/Brinton Woods of Winfield. She was a lifetime member of the Mason-Dixon Historical Society of Westminster, MD. Wanda enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in the garden and mowing the grass on her Cub Cadet; she also enjoyed collecting dolls, solving word searches, putting together puzzles and playing casino games on her tablet, picking, and eating Maryland Crabs and cooking her mothers old family recipes. She always enjoyed supporting her husband in all his hobbies and activities.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle H. Hillsinger of Winfield, MD and her son Wesley T. Hillsinger of Winfield, MD. She will also be missed by her beloved feline companions.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.
Interment at Lake View memorial Park.
