Wayne Wright Collins, age 71, of Woodbine, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at his house.
He was born September 24, 1943 in Sneedville, Tennessee, the son of the late Walter Collins and the late Myrtle Kendree Collins.
He was the husband of Charlotte Ann Collins (nee Rippeon), married May 21, 1966.
He worked for Charles H. Riddle Construction Company and at Carroll County Public School System-West Middle in Westminster as a custodian. He loved going to Disney World, Sanibel Island, Florida and Ocean City. He loved all the nieces and nephews and grandnephew. He also loved animals.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Julie Ann Pennington and husband Rob of Westminster; brother in law and sister in law Jeff and Wendy Rippeon of Accident, MD, nephews Zach Rippeon, Tim Rippeon and grandnephew Ethan Rippeon of Martinsburg, West Virginia and niece Amy and Leif Brandt of Middleton, MD.; brother of Buster Collins, James Collins, Gary Collins, Rose Collins and Evelyn Collins.
Gathering of Family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 3:00-4:00 PM; with Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with Rev. Arthur Monroe officiating; afterwards Fellowship luncheon will be held at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home-multipurpose room.
