William Boyd

William Walter Boyd, Sr. 83 of Randallstown, MD, died Thursday June 28, 2012 at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, MD after a brief illness. He was the spouse of 45 years to E. Yvonne (Green) Boyd of Randallstown. He was born September 16, 1928 in Harrisonville , MD the son of the late Austin Carter Boyd and the late Eva Cecilia (Triplett) Boyd. He was a retired Howard County 911 Supervisor/Dispatcher, Worked from the 1960’s until it’s closing at Loring Byers Funeral Directors, INC and presently at Central Care for Service Corporation International that serves numerous funeral homes in the area. He also worked for Burrier-Queen Funeral Home from 1992 until present. He was 60 year member of Freedom Lodge #112 A.F. & A.M. in Eldersburg and a Member of Boumi Temple. He was a Life Member and Past President of Liberty Rd. Volunteer Fire Company, INC and served on numerous committees including EMS Committee of MD State Fireman’s Association. He was a Life Member of Wards Chapel UMC and longtime financial secretary. He was an avid Baltimore Oriole Fan and Season Ticket holder. Surviving in addition to his wife are Son William W. Boyd, Jr. of Randallstown and Daughter Kimberly D. Boyd of Westminster, Step-Children Vicki L and Mark C. Jones and 6 Grandchildren Rachel, Jennifer, Bobbie, Brittany, Nicholas and Taylor. Funeral Services will take place Monday July 2, 2012 11 AM at Wards Chapel UMC , 11023 Liberty Rd. Randallstown MD 21133. Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD the Family will receive friends on Saturday June 30, 2012 4 to 6 PM and Sunday July 1, 2012 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Masonic memorial service during evening viewing at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wards Chapel UMC or Liberty Rd. Volunteer Fire Company INC. 10010 Liberty Rd. Randallstown, MD 21133.
