Died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center.
Born October 23, 1939 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Maurice Theodore Poole and the late Mary Virgie Duvall Poole. He was the husband of Judy Davis Poole. Billy, as know by friends and family, was retired from Frall Developers in Mt. Airy. He was a Charter-Life Member of Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed farming and taking walks.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are Children; William L. Poole of Sykesville, Lori and husband Glenn Anderson of New Market, Barbara and husband Mike Gray of Woodbine, Siblings; Hallie Martin of Thurmont, Ethel and husband Howard Morrison of PA, Doris and husband Ralph Sprague of of Thurmont Maurice “Buddy” Poole of Woodbine, Ernest and wife Georgia Poole of Worton, John and wife Dorothy Poole of Sykesville, Catherine Reaver of Sykesville, Wanda Smith and Companion Aldo Baldwin of West Friendship , Evelyn “Maggie” and Arch Muller of Westminster, Grandsons; Michael Gray of Woodbine and Richard Stonebraker of New Market; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joan and Jimmy Gatuso of Westminster Brother-in-law Charles Will. numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Virginia “ Sissy” Will; and brothers Charles “Sam” Poole and Robert “Bobby” Poole.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 7 to 9 PM with a Fire Department Memorial Service at 8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W.
