William E. Serra age 88 of Sykesville formerly of Baltimore
Died Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center
He was born August 26, 1924 in Baltimore the son of the late Settimo G. Serra and the late Ginevra A. (Ruini) Serra.
He had worked as a book keeper for the Railroad and later worked for the Family restaurant at Serra Brothers. He was a US ARMY veteran and received two Purple Hearts. He was a Baseball Fan, Loved Going to the Horse Track and Playing Cards . Had been active at St. William of York Church in Baltimore before moving to Sykesville, liked spending time with family.
Catholic Prayers will be said on Saturday March 9, 2013 11 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the family receiving friends from 10 AM until time of Service Saturday. Interment will be in New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, MD
